Inexpensive Treats in Singapore

Singapore is composed of four main ethnic groups: Chinese, Indian, Malay, and Eurasian. Having that in mind, SG identifies their local delicacies as a fusion from different cuisines. As a foodie explorer, I happen to discover about "hawkers". A hawker is an open restaurant that serves a variety yet inexpensive food.

Another open dining restaurant is called Food Republic. The concept combines a typical chain of restaurants and a hawker fare found at the lobby or at the upper floors in shopping malls. Since I was into something Japanese at that time, I ordered a fried fish bento. Yum.yum!

The next day, I went to the same store. hahaha. Cheers to another set of Japanese food! Hurray!

Claypot Roasted Pork Rice

For persons with bigger appetite, I highly recommend Indian Cuisines. Simply because they have the biggest servings of rice and viand.

So the next time, you go to Singapore, know places that are pocket - friendly. Bring a bottle of water with you and you'll definitely save buckets! :D

A Random Treat

It all started with a blog post about cravings for samgyupsal.  Exactly, two days after that, I received a message of a dinner blow - out. Who am I to say no? A dinner treat?!? I am not in the position to say no. Just not in the position. ha-ha

Samgyupsal - Yumyum!!

Cravings had been answered.

With some good company.

I Crave for Samgyupsal !!!

For those who don't know much about Samgyupsal, here's little background for you guys. Just like our very own Philippine adobo , samgyupsal is one hell of a delightful meal. Primarily composed of a thinly - sliced pork belly, lettuce, some veggies on the side, kimchi, and ssamjang. Ssamjang - a chili paste that makes the dish even more flavorful and authentic.

With the growing number of  Korean restaurants in my city comes the variety of good choices. In fact some restaurants serve cold noodles (Naengmyeon) to a single order of Samgyupsal. Yes! And on that note, I'm craving for it all the more. ha-ha

I can't just take ssamjang out of my head. Crazy!! Woaaaah.
